The Best Hotels In Huacachina

Huacachina is an important tourist resort near the Peruvian coast. It is well known for being an oasis in the desert with impressive views of it, from the surrounding sand dunes. In the past it was believed that the lake had healing properties and this would attract many visitors.

The lagoon has a walkway around it so that you can enjoy the views of the lake much better, though it does not take long to walk all the way round.  Here you can find many hostels and hotels where you can stay and restaurants where you can find various typical dishes of the region and Peru.

When you are staying in Huacachina you will be able to do many exciting activities and sports such as an adventure on a sand buggy where you explore the desert areas, flying over the sand dunes and also sand boarding. You can go for a walk around the lagoon to appreciate the beautiful view of the place or hike to the top of the surrounding sand dunes to see the amazing views down to the town or even sandboarding down the dunes.

Hotel Curasi

The Curasi Hotel is a place that I have stayed at twice while I have visited Huacachina, it has a beautiful pool and view of the lake. You can choose from double, twin, triple of quadruple rooms depending on how many people you are travelling with.

Hotel Curasi is located just a few meters from the lagoon and the sand dunes and there is also a bar area and breakfast is included.

I enjoyed the food served in the bar and relaxing by the pool. One of the negatives is that the water pressure in the showers is not very strong though this is a problem that many hotels in Huacachina have. The staff are friendly and very welcoming and can help you book a trip on a sand buggy or sandboarding or even a day trip to Paracas.

I would definitely recommend this place, the rooms were clean and the hotel was quiet on an evening.

Eco Camp Huacachina

The Eco Camp Huacachina is located in Huacachina just a short walk from the lake. It is a hotel with a cozy design with the sand dunes directly behind it and sand on the pathway outside the rooms.

All the bedrooms are tents, suitable for one, two, three or four people, though it is more glamping than camping. Each tent comes with a fan and they have covered roofs above the tents. There are no private bathrooms and all toilets and bathrooms are shared between all guests

It also has a restaurant and a shared kitchen if you prefer to cook. In the morning you have two types of American and continental breakfasts available included in the price.

Eco Camp Huacachina has Wi-fi internet connection, hammocks for you to relax in, as well as a parking area.

Rochabus

Rochabus is a beautiful place to relax where its main attraction is its large garden and swimming pool, if you are one of those people who are looking for a more natural and relaxing space, then this is the place for you, here you can use the hammocks to rest while reading a book or listening to music.

It is known for having good attention and kindness from the service personnel. It is in a quiet area of Huacachina which allows you to have a good rest without external noise from music and/or people.

The rooms have a fan, private bathroom, TV, hot water, as well as bed linen and towels for your use. It has a nice pool, a barbecue, terrace and bar area.

Breakfast is included in the price and if you are looking to do a tour then there is a tour desk within the hotel to book your trip.

Hospedaje Claudia

Hospedaje Claudia is located just a few minutes walk from the lake in Huacachina and it is a great location if you want to have a good rest without noise, in addition the breakfast is very good and varied since it has Vegetarian, American or Continental, which you can eat on the terrace.

The hostel has a rustic and pleasant feel. It has cable TV and all rooms have a private bathroom and hot water. There is also a parking area, restaurant and bar to enjoy various drinks and dishes.

Hotel El Huacachinero

The Hotel El Huacachinero is one of the best hotels in the area. It offers spacious and clean rooms, which have air conditioning and cable TV. The hotel is surrounded by sand dunes and is about 2 minutes from the lagoon. There is a 24 hours reception and the hotel has a bar.

You can also do a tour on the sand buggies to enjoy the dunes or practice sandboarding in the dunes. Hotel El Huacachinero has a swimming pool, free Wi-Fi, restaurant area and breakfast includes a good American breakfast.

It is clean and spacious with many areas to enjoy the sun and relax. One complaint from guests is that it is next to a bar and so it can be noisy until quite late and difficult to sleep, but if you like to party then it is in the perfect location for you.

La Casa de Bamboo

The Casa de Bamboo hotel is located a few minutes away from the Huacachina lagoon, where you will find twin, double or family room with private bathrooms. All rooms have a fan and have internet connection via Wi-Fi. It offers a restaurant and bar that are decorated with bamboo, giving it a very good rustic atmosphere.

You will find different types of breakfasts such as American, Irish, vegan, gluten-free and continental depending on your taste. In addition, the staff are super friendly and cleanliness is also one of the good points of this hotel.

The reception is open 24 hours a day. The hotel is in a quiet location away from any bars and noise with a view of the laguna and sand dunes from the rooftop terrace.

Hosteria Suiza

Hosteria Suiza is located close to Huacachina lagoon. It is a place with one of the best locations, and a view of the lagoon.

You have the options of double, twin, triple rooms or an apartment that fits 8 people. Its rooms are comfortable and spacious with private bathroom, flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi. The hotel has a nice rustic look with a pool in the centre and beautiful lighting to enjoy an incredible night.

They have a bar area to enjoy drinks and a restaurant. There is also an ironing and laundry service available if you require it.

DM Hoteles Mossone

The Hotel Mossone is located a few minutes from the lagoon in an excellent location, with ample spaces to relax, a beautiful swimming pool, restaurant and bar. In addition to an excellent garden that gives it a spectacular view of the lagoon.

The rooms have air conditioning which is not common in hotels in the area, private bathroom, a minibar in the rooms and cable TV. There is also a laundry area. There is free wifi.

The hotel has a great location, but for the price the included breakfast is a bit limited and there may be better options in Huacachina for a better price.

Hostel Boulevard

Hostel Boulevard is a hotel located in front of Huacachina lagoon that offers an excellent view from the terrace where you can enjoy breakfast. The hostel has an outdoor pool within the inner courtyard for you to enjoy day or night. It has the options of double, twin or triple rooms and a laundry service. It has free wi-fi and a bar area to enjoy different drinks.

The accommodation is basic but it has very affordable prices and is overlooking the oasis to enjoy the night in this desert. Due to the location of the hotel it can be a little noisy on a night, especially on a weekend.

Carola Lodge

The Carola Lodge is located a short walk from the lagoon. It has a large swimming pool, restaurant and disco bar open until 4am.

The hotel has more than 60 rooms with twin, double and family rooms available. The rooms have cable TV and Wi-fi. In the Carola Lodge, in addition to the pool, you can have fun playing darts and ping pong with your friends or family .

The staff are friendly and the location is very good, but it must be taken into account that people could make a lot of noise at night in the pool since there are frequently parties until 4am at the weekend.

If you are looking for a party place then this is the place for you, if you are looking for a quiet hotel then I would recommend staying in a different hotel.
