Arequipa Travel Guide
Arequipa is located in southern Peru around 630 miles from Lima.
It is the second largest city in Peru and one of the most beautiful. It is located in the desert and so it is very dry. It is overshadowed by 3 volcanoes, with for me the perfect shaped volcano “Misti”.
There is a lot to do in Arequipa and it is most famous for the Colca Canyon located nearby. It is the third most visited place in Peru with 120,000 visitors annually. It is one of the deepest canyons in the world at 3,270 metres and is deeper than even the Grand Canyon.
