Huaraz Travel Guide
Huaraz is located 250 miles north of Lima in the Cordillera Blanca mountain range.
There is an airport in Huaraz but due to the location of Huaraz standard size planes are unable to fly in. Currently there are no flights to Huaraz.
People generally arrive in Huaraz by bus from Lima or from Trujillo in the north of Peru. It is an 8 hour bus ride from both Lima and Trujillo to Huaraz.
Huaraz is famous for it’s amazing hiking in snow covered peaks and most hikes you will cover a pass at over 4,000 metres above sea level.
There is a lot of things to do in Huaraz and if you love the outdoors then you are going to love Huaraz.
