The Best Hostels in Mancora
Mancora is a beach located in northern Peru and is very visited and known by people from different parts of the world, it is famous because it is practiced the sport of surfing, a very hot climate in different parts of the year and its beautiful beaches of course.
In front of the coast of this beach you will find different hotels, hostels, bungalows and beach houses with affordable prices for all kinds of people, with different environments, architectures and more.

Casa Maracuyá
Casa Maracuyá is a place located a few blocks from the beach in Mancora and around a 10 minute walk to the centre of Mancora. The rooms are quite basic but are beautifully decorated and very clean with the beds constructed with a baboo frame.
There is the choice of 4 bed dorm rooms, double or twin room and triple rooms. Some of the rooms have air conditioning as well as a balcony for a better view. There is also an English, Irish or Italian continental breakfast every day though it is not included in the price of the room.
The hostel has wifi and a garden to relax in, though there is no pool to cool off in or sunbathing area.

Casa Mancora Guesthouse
The Casa Mancora Guesthouse is located around a 5-10 minutes walk from the beach and start of the main strip in Mancora. It is located in a quiet area close to the dry river of Mancora.
Each room has a fan and has windows overlooking the terrace area of the hostel, they also have a shared lounge area and kitchen that you can use.
You can choose from a single, double or triple private room with ensuite bathroom. The hostel is quite small and basic, the rooms have fans and there is no swimming pool. There is no breakfast available but you are able to make you own in the shared kitchen.
The prices for the rooms are very good and it is a great option if you are not bothered about a swimming pool and want to be in a quiet area of town.

Wally’s House Mancora
Wally’s House Mancora is located a few block from the beach in Mancora about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Mancora. A cozy place highly recommended by travellers for the vibe and welcoming attitude of the owners.
There is the choice of triple rooms, 4 or 5 bed dorm rooms or a bungalow. None of the rooms have a private bathroom. There is a shared kitchen, living area, indoor and board games area as well as a tour desk for booking activities like hiking or sandboarding.
Breakfast is not available but you can make your own in the shared kitchen. This is a great hostel is you are travelling on your own and are looking to meet other people.
The hostel does not have a pool but does have areas for hanging out and relaxing as well as hammocks.

La Maison
The maison is located just by the entrance of Mancora by the dry river in Máncora and is a few minutes walk to the beach and to the start of the main street in Mancora. The hotel is made from wood and bamboo, with lots of palm trees and plants in the grounds of the eco house.
You can choose from single and triple rooms with shared bathrooms or double rooms or king suites with private bathrooms and a vegetarian breakfast is included.
The Eco house has a beautiful pool that you can relax in, if you don’t want to walk to the beach. There are just 6 rooms in the eco house, with a shared kitchen and living room
There is no restaurant on site, but you can find many within a 5-10 minute walk from it. It was originally a home that has been converted into a boutique hotel and with its location you are able to relax and enjoy a quiet evening.
If you are looking for a place to relax but not to meet many people then this is a great option.

Eco Lodge Mancora
Eco Lodge is located just a short distance from La Maison and is just a five minutes walk from Máncora beach and the main street in Mancora. The lodge is made from wood and is centered around a main courtyard with pool, plants and palm trees.
There is the choice of beds in a dorm room with shared bathroom or double rooms and one of them even has an outdoor shower!! Breakfast is included if you are in a private room, though it will cost extra if you are staying in the dorm room.
The Eco Lodge has just 9 rooms, so it is a quiet place and it has spaces for its guests to relax in and a shared kitchen for guests to use in case you don’t want to walk into Mancora for a meal.

Saigon Backpackers hostel
Saigon Backpackers hostel is located at the far end of the beach in Mancora, about a 20 minutes walk along the beach to the main area. It is very well priced for both shared rooms and private rooms as the prices in Mancora tend to be higher than in other towns in Peru.
The hostel has the options of beds in shared rooms or private rooms with private bathrooms. When I stayed I was in a shared dorm room with shared bathroom. I found the hostel to be clean, with hammocks to chill in and many shared spaces for guests, a bar and restaurant if you didn’t want to walk far into town.
I also liked that it had a swimming pool and it is only a few minutes walk from the beach. The negatives would be that there is no kitchen if you want to cook yourself and it is quite far from the centre of Mancora, though you can get a tut tut for just a few soles.
Breakfast is included for guests and some evenings there is live music, salsa classes and games nights to pass your evenings.

Selina Mancora
Selina Máncora is one of the most attractive hostels and popular places in the area since it is located in front of the sea, it has a very large pool, a large garden, and palm trees that makes it look like paradise from the moment you walk through the door and into reception.
It is a little bit out of town but only a 10 minute walk and you are at the start of the main strip or you can take a tut tut into town for a few soles.
There are many choices of rooms at Selina, where you are wanting a private room or shared. You can choose from a 6 or 8 bed dorm room or a double or family room or even a typee tent or there new unique cyclinders.
Selina’s is known as a co-working accommodation and has spaces for you to work while you are travelling with good wifi. You can choose to have a room with breakfast included or not, there is a bar and restaurant area, there is also outdoor music next to the bar area.
On a weekend you will find that there are parties in the hostel till 3am, so expect some noise on a weekend, but then there is also yoga and dance lessons available at the hostel that you can enjoy.

Wild Rover Beach Mancora
Wild Rover Beach Hostel is located in Mancora at the far end of the beach around a 15 minutes walk along the beach to the main area of Mancora.
Wild Rover is known for its party hostels and this hostel with its lively colours is no exception. You can enjoy your time in the pool, playing table tennis, volleyball or billiards.
There is a choice of 6, 8 or 10 bed dorm rooms or double rooms with private bathrooms. Breakfast is not included but is available at the hostel. The hostel has a bar and restaurant in case you don’t want to walk into town to get something to eat.
It is a place with music and events in the evenings and is ideal if you like parties and are looking for a party hostel.

The Point Mancora – Beach Party Hostel
The Point Mancora – Beach Party Hostel is a hostel located in front of Máncora beach, with an unbeatable view, with a pool and terrace area facing the sea. It offers beds in dorm rooms or double rooms with private bathrooms. Some of the rooms are views of the sea with hammocks outside the rooms where you can relax.
The hostel has a restaurant and bar so that if you don’t want to walk the 10 minutes down the beach to the main area of Mancora you can eat and drink there. The Point is known for being a party hostel and you will find that there is entertainment during the day and on an evening in the hostel.
Breakfast is not included in the price, but it is available to buy in the restaurant if you want. If you are looking to meet new people and party then this hostel is a great choice, though it is now a little run down and could do with a little maintenance.
Loki del Mar
The Loki Del Mar in a place located in front of the sea with one of the best views as it has 3 levels of floors where you can enjoy the sunset or the beautiful sunsets. It offers ample space for different outdoor activities such as sports, games, etc, though it has no direct access to the beach.
It offers double, twin, triple, quadruple and family rooms with private bathrooms. It has always been known as the party hostel of Mancora and not a place to relax and sleep. Nowadays the hostel is not offering dorm rooms for its guests just private rooms which are now looking a bit worn and ready for a makeover. Breakfast is not included in the price but is available for an extra price.
The hostel has a large pool, a large shared lounge, a hammock area to relax, and a table to play ping pong. In addition, events and parties are organized regularly and it is the place to stay if you want to party your nights away.
